Who is the HSSA
The HSSA is the Health Sciences Student Association. It is formed of various executive members whom represent the Health Sciences' students voice. Our role is to represent you, therefore, don't hesitate to contact us!
Hello HSS ! I am Alex, currently in fourth year, and I am the President of the HSSA for a second year. My goal is to be your voice and to represent the students at every meeting I will have with teachers and directors. Again, we have a very strong team this year, so I hope you will participate in our various events held throughout the year! Hope to see you!
Favorite HSS event: The Winter Formal is by far my favorite event; the turn out is amazing and all HSS beauties are having a great time.
Greetings HSS ! My name is Michel Khoury and I will be occupying the post of VP Finance this year. My position promotes the responsible and transparent spending of the HSSA’s budget for the benefit of the health sciences students. Working alongside the exec members, I will assure the budgeting for our great events. Welcome to the HSS family, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!
Favorite HSS event: The wine and cheese. This event allows students to meet teachers outside of the classroom and to build connections for future endeavors.
Hey HSSers!! Anaïs and I are here to connect you with your professors, find you amazing research and volunteering opportunities, and take care of all of your academic questions and concerns! We’ll also be planning Meet and Greets, Textbook Sales, a Career Fair, and a bunch of other events highlighting what being an HSSer is all about!

Favorite HSS event: Without hesitation, 101 Week is my favourite event. It’s a full week of activities where we meet other HSS students and discover the campus!
Hi, I'm Maggie. I am your VP of Internal Affairs. Come see me in the office or send me an email if you need any help with volunteering positions or any advice on who to contact for any problems. I am going into my fourth year in HSS so I have lots of advice to share if need any! I have really enjoyed getting involved in our program and highly recommend it.
Favorite HSS event: My favorite event that the HSSA puts on is by far the trip we do to Montreal! A quick overnight trip to let loose with all your friends!
Hey HSS Angels, my name is Anaïs Lemyre and I will be your VP-University Affairs Franco for the year! I am a fourth year HSS student from the French stream and this will be my third year on the HSSA. Myself and the VP-UA Anglo will be working together to organize some academic oriented events, which will enable you to connect with fellow students and professors. These are great opportunities to further discover what you would like to pursue after your bachelor.

Favorite HSS event: I really enjoy 101 week, it is a great time to meet new people, try new things, and get ready for a great year ahead!

Not only will I do my best to organize enjoyable charity events, but I’ll also be trying to find as many ways as I can for students to get involved with volunteer opportunities. Favorite HSS event: Definitely the Montreal trips! It's an awesome opportunity to hangout with your friends and have a fun night out in Montreal! Come out and blow off some university steam, be sure to keep an eye out for when they're happening this year!
